love died dead
Okay, so you might not know this, but I'm a huge Swiftie. So I was sad, and more than a little surprised when I read that Taylor and the king of her heart (iykyk) Joe Alwyn, had broken up. I was in a state of grace shock, when I heard, because in all honesty, I didn't really believe it. Why, you ask? Well, multiple reasons.
1) Entertainment Tonight didn't seem like a very reliable source. According to ET, Taylor and Joe have been married, pregnant, and broken up too many times to count. Yes, the report said that it was "from a source close to the couple" (which could have been Tree Paine, her publicist), but I wasn't sure.
2) The timeline didn't make sense. As you probably know, Taylor just embarked on the first leg of the Eras Tour, and quite recently before the tour, it was said that Joe would be joining her at shows, and he was so supportive of her career. ET's proof that they had broken up was that Joe hadn't been spotted at any shows, but that's just because he's filming a movie right now (he's an actor, if you didn't know). They had been together for 6 years, and had never missed a beat in their love for each other.
3) On Monday she was spotted in New York at dinner JUST MINUTES AWAY from her old apartment on Cornelia Street, where she said she would never walk again if they ever broke up. She was also wearing a pendant necklace eerily similar to the J necklace she has with Joe's initial. Even if it's not the same necklace, it's too similar to be a coincidence.
4) Neither Taylor or Joe has confirmed this information. So I'm still holding out hope that they're still together until one of them either confirms of denies.
I really hope love hasn't died dead (again iykyk), but if this news is true, I will honestly fall apart! She wrote all those songs for him! I really thought they were soulmates.
